Days 15 and 16 of LP’s US tour are behind us. On 26th May LP kicked off the Summer with 95.5 PLJ and Pepsi in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. Now you can watch HQ video of ‘Into The Wild’, as well as gallery of the concert and meeting with fans. There is also a link to youtube video, but it remains unwatchable, something was wrong with the live feed. You will find everything by clicking here.
Yesterday LP arrived to Norfolk (Virginia) for her concert at The NorVa – venue’s name consists of an abbreviation relating to its location. The original NorVa Theatre opened in 1917 as a 2000-seat Vaudeville theater then thrived as a premier movie theatre into the 1970s. The building served as home to the Downtown Athletic Club from 1980 until 1998 when it was renovated for its current use. The NorVa features top-notch acoustics, which I’m sure didn’t go unnoticed by LP herself.
I will go straight to the quotes, starting with HairbyShaunte’ (@sashayshauntexostudio), who attended two of LP’s concerts this week, first one in Charlotte and second one in Norfolk. She wrote: “Thanks be to @iamlpofficial for a magical night. Your music is amzing, and you my love are a healer. My soul is full tonight. Thanks to your amazing voice and poetic lyrics. I will never forget this moment”.
She got to meet LP in Charlotte and thank her for her music: “I can’t even begin to explain what it meant to tell this incredible being what her music means to me, and to also have a really amazing encounter. ??”. And here are her words after Norfolk concert: “I’m so grateful for your voice and incredible raw talent. I’m glad I was able to have this experience twice in one week. Forever to thee XoXo”.
Some people still cannot quite believe how LP creates her magical vocals, especially seeing her in flesh, as she is a petite woman with this huge voice. Melanie (@m_intphotos) posted quick video of ‘Tokyo Sunrise’ writing: “How does this voice come out of her?! ??????”.
Laura (@lauraleevegan) quoted lyrics to Tokyo Sunrise: ?? Wherever you go, far as Tokyo, I can say, I’ll see you again, I’ll see you again, I’ll see you again ?, adding: “? I have never heard such a beautiful voice. Listen to @iamlpofficial and your world will be forever changed. Norfolk loves you so much, @iamlpofficial ? thank you for an amazing night”. I attest to that, you are forever changed. For better.
Maliel (@mahliel): “#iamlpofficial was fucking amaazziinngg. All I could do was stare and remind myself it’s not legally acceptable to throw her over my shoulder and run. What a voice though. It’s impactful on headphones and fucking unreal in person”. And a few really quick comments but worth noting here. @dainty_ace: “One of the best live performances I’ve seen. I’m so glad I was able to go :)”. I love how Helen (@blackwaterexotics) plays with LP’s lyrics here: “Hands down best show of my life #lp #withoutashredofdoubt”. And I will finish with Nic (@omgniciscool): “I’ve never cried so much in my life”. Well, I have a feeling I will cry as much in Oświęcim in June.
Today LP will finally be reunited with her love, Lauren. Judging from her latest Insta-story, she really missed her and it must have been a hard time. They will both play at U Street Music Hall in Washington. First will be Josiah and The Bonnevilles (starting 6.30 US time – that’s 00.30 for those in Europe); then will be Lauren, her set starts at 7.15 and LP will start at 8.15. Lauren will also join LP in New York on the 30th May and at LP’s concert finishing her US tour in their hometown, LA in El Rey on 12th June.

I will finish my post with a bit of artistic touch this time. One of my all time favourite portrait of LP is the one for Rollacoaster UK magazine, that was taken by @marknmarkn, and you can view this portrait by clicking here. I mention it, because a fashion illustrator, Nadezhda_Ank_Art, was so inspired by this shot and created an ink portrait of LP herself. I’m in love with it. I recommend checking artist’s profile as all her art is beautiful.

I also wanted to mention that LP inspires people in so many different ways that it truly is incredible. Recently someone (thanks Artur) send me a link to an artists that creates miniature dollhouses. What’s a dollhouse got to do with LP? Artist, Anastasia, was so inspired by LP’s music video to ‘Lost On You’, that she decided to create a perfect replica of LP’s apartment from this video. It took her 8 months to complete the project, but it is simply amazing – the detail in mindblowing. It was noticed both by LP and director of the video, Chuck D. Willis. I am in awe as well. Go check her profile by clicking here.
Ah, and one more pic from the concert. I couldn’t resist posting this one as well. I hope to get to be in a front row in such an intimate setting. What an experience!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
