Yesterday, Palaye Royale released their latest album titled “Fever Dream”, made in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Chris Greatti. This 13-track set came to life over the course of a year.
Alongside the album, the band released a video for the song “Line It Up,” feat. unmatched vocals from LP. The reflective ballad expresses the band’s desire to deviate from suburban life.
The accompanying video, directed by Ivy Tellin, intercuts footage from Palaye Royale recent North American headline tour with scenes shot with LP at the famous Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Scenes with LP had been shot in the middle of October, after LP’s return from their European tour. About the collaboration, LP said:
“I connected to this song right away. Palaye write with such emotion and I feel like I’ve lived this song too. All the bleak feelings coming together that ultimately make you wanna live forever or die tomorrow. Raw shit.”
Palaye Royale added:
“It’s such an honor to have such an epic human/musician be on the track so organically. We know how beautiful the world can and will be regardless of the darkness.”
Currently, LP is in Palm Strings on a writing trip with their new writing partners that include: Andrew Berkeley Martin, Matthew Pauling, Shawn Barry, Chad Shlosser & Ashton Irwin.
LP is working on their latest body of work that will be released next year, sometime in May, if everything will go according to plan. I guess time will tell.
I still haven’t written my posts on LP’s mini tour of Poland. It’s been hard for me to share those emotions. It’s like I want to keep them close, but at some point I should be ready.
In the meantime, listen to “Line It Up”, and let me know how you liked it?! Personally, I know why LP could relate to lyrics and melody, and their vocals make everything simply extraordinary. And this song is no exception.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
