On 31st May LP returned to Philadelphia, city she visited back in January during her US promo tour. First, she popped to Radio 104.5 (Liberation Way Performance Theater) for a Studio Session and an interview. Prior to her visit I asked the radio wheter there will be a live feed. While responding to my tweet, they said they can ask LP some question on my behalf during the interview. So I said, sure please. I wanted to know how much LP is enjoying her US tour & what was the highlight so far.
Frankly, I wasn’t sure they will remember about this, but to my huge surprise (as there was a video-feed), interviewer: lovely Jessie asked my question as first, because she didn’t want to forget about it! I was amazed and stunned. Then LP followed with her kind response, thanking for the blog and coverage of the tour on it. LP, thank you!! Jessie, thank you!! LP said that she is really enjoying the tour and she loves the fact that people know all her songs and sing along with her during concerts. LP said much more, but I was in such a shock, that I couldn’t concentrate.

Jessie promised to have the audio of the interview up on her blog in the next few days (⇛ here), so if you missed this session, you will, at least, be able to listen to it. LP sung three songs, acoustic versions of ‘When We’re High’, ‘Lost On You’ and to my huge surprise and delight – ‘No Witness”. And I must say she slayed. Recently, I am starting to fully appreciate the genius of that song, especially after this performance and the one from BBC Last Show. It was a great session and I do hope for the audio of it, though video would be even better! ?
In the evening LP was back on stage at World Cafe Live. Again, it wasn’t the first time for LP to grace that stage, she performed there also in 2014, when she was on tour with Kodaline. Btw, during that 2014 tour she also hit the stage of U Street Music Hall. Anyway, back to last night.

First I would like to mention Madalee – she is one of the youngest fans of LP. Maddy met LP when she was just 3 years old! Back in 2012, her mum snuck her into the casino stage so she could meet her. Maddy attended her first concert last year, at U Street Music Hall, that’s also where she got to sing ‘Into The Wild’ with LP on stage. And last night they were reunited, as Maddy could also attend the concert at World Cafe Live.
Here’s what’s Maddy’s mum – Elisa “LeeLee” Arias (@ladymamalee), wrote after the concert: I love being able to take Madalee to see her idol perform, it’s such an awesome bonding experience I get to share w/ my #MiniMe. THANK U @iamlpofficial for putting on another AMAZING show! U totally rocked it tonight! ???… A night that u just don’t want to end! Fan’s of #LP @iamlpofficial for 8 yrs now ???”.
And some more comments favourited by yours truly. Alessia (@alessia.porcari): “When I went back to Italy for the first time last summer, there was this one song you just couldn’t escape wherever you went. Last night I got to sing along to it with a bunch of other people. (many fellow europeans). One of the most unique artists I’ve seen live in a while – who also happens to have written some of my favorite songs by Rihanna, The Veronicas & Rita Ora. She’s killing it all over Europe (3x platinum in Italy), and y’all should check her out!✨ #LP”.
@nattyphoto: “LP you’re amazing!! Been counting down to this day… didn’t think I’d ever get a chance to see you perform… so glad you’re in Philly tonight! Big up to my brother @coreylatif for putting me on to her years ago… I’ve been hooked ever since!”. @arbitragonyc: “Thank you @iamlpofficial for an unforgettable experience of listening to your beautiful voice!”. Sarah (@misssarahsylvia): “With this absolute gem @iamlpofficial after her show at world cafe live! Amazing musician, amazing person❤ “.
Tia (@tttiiiaaa15): “LP…one of the best shows I have seen ever? check her out if you have a chance!”. Lydia (@crazyhappylife808): “I’m having such a huge (woman) crush (Wednesday) on her! ? LP is so incredibly amazing and ridiculously talented! ??? Thank you for such a great show @iamlpofficial”. Julie (@yinz_and_yang): “I would have paid $4828444738975 more than $15 for this ticket ? “. Laurence (@laurencedanova): “Blown away by LP’s performance last night. Best live vocalist ever”.
And few more from tweeter. Jake ? ? ? (@Jaker_Oats): “You took me into the wild and back! LP – You are an UNREAL talent and the absolute sweetest person!”. Johnny ? (@itsreallyjohnny): “@iamlp took my soul tonight ??♂”. I also recommend checking short video of ‘No Witness’ posted by Tamuna (click here). And a fun photo at the very end of this post. Brandi, who was going to see LP at World Cafe Live, spotted her favourite singer a lot earlier to her surprise. And on bike!
Brandi (@sodelsurf): “When you park, look up, and BOOM! there she is! So stoked for this show! @iamlpofficial #iamlpofficial”. Brandi, that’s a nice shot and what a fun surprise! PS. LP is playing tonight at The Sinclair in Cambridge.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
