Yesterday (24th May), LP surprised all her fans by posting a tweet saying, that in a few hours she will do an AMA (short for ‘ask me anything’) on Reddit hosted by Outside Lands festival she will play on August 10. Since I was totally new to this, it took me a while to get all the facts straight, but shortly I was all set and the wait began. LPonReddit: it’s “dime store rock and roll” but in my first draft of writing that song I wrote “dinosaur rock and roll” which I almost wish I kept.
What do we know about new album & possible single release? Also when is the wedding?

LPonReddit: I’m working on finishing the album now… it will be out late this year/early next year… can’t wait for everyone to hear it. Lauren and I haven’t set an official wedding date just yet.. we’ve both been so busy!

LPonReddit: I love them. They’re the most important thing in all of this and I feel thankful to have them. I enjoy hearing and seeing the impact of my work and it’s the best part of everything.
Lpeople_italia: Your fans feel one with you, soul, heart. How does this make you feel?
LPonReddit: It makes me feel incredible. I feel responsible for peoples hearts now and that’s wild to me but i’m just going to keep doing what got me here and make music i feel proud of.

My favorite song of mine… I tend to get into different songs at different times. I’m really into “Girls Go Wild” right now and “When We’re High”. My favorite cover to sing is almost anything by Led Zeppelin and Jeff Buckley. Right now i’m listening to Courtney Barnett, Florence and the Machine’s new music and Pond and some Velvet Underground.

LPonReddit: I’m pretty in love with all of Europe… i’ve been enjoying relaxing in Athens, I love Paris, Rome… quite honestly, everywhere in Europe is incredible to me and my favorites always change. I tend to favor any place that’s warm : )

LPonReddit: Jagger for sure. He was running 10 miles a day before shows in the 70s.
magali_1976: Hi LP. Before what type of public do you prefer to play in front: an audience that is already fan of your songs ; an audience that know you less and that you will have to conquer ?
LPonReddit: I like both. Both are stimulating in their own way. I think its always a challenge and fun to start a show off and see people being won over but I think ultimately there is nothing like a warm reception from people that know your songs. A person singing your songs back at you has to be one of the coolest things ever.
_belief: Hello!! I’ve been a huge fan ever since “Into the Wild” crept into my suggested songs on Spotify a few years ago and it was a dream come true to finally see you perform at Coachella this year, you’re an amazing artist!
My question is if you’ve ever thought about a longer narrative work like a musical or a concept album?
LPonReddit: Totally. I have an idea for an opera, like a rock opera of sorts and i hope that in the next few years maybe i’ll have time to do something like that.
