On the 3rd March, thankfully in much better weather, LP arrived to Philadelphia, for yet another sold out show, how cool is that! Venue where LP performed, the Theatre of Living Arts (known commonly as the TLA) opened in 1988, but it dates back to the early 1900s. The theatre opened in 1908 as the “Crystal Palace” nickelodeon. Over the years, the venue has seen many incarnations ranging from concert hall to movie theatre to theatre. Known for its acoustics, it was voted as one of the best concert venues in America by Complex. It can hold up to 1000 people.

My friend Lisa (@TheOneTrueLisa) was able to catch LP’s show last night and here’s what she wrote: “Philly was cold and windy but our LP generated enough heat for the 700+ crowd at The Theater of Living Arts! As always, she is most at home in a small venue, taking over the stage like she owns it! We got to hear the haunting and heart-wrenching “Recovery” again and I was glad I remembered to bring tissues this time. Everyone was a little weepy! How is that every show somehow seems even better than the last?”

Lisa, I have no idea how she does it but she has that incredible ability, which makes her oh! so fascinating! Lisa also recorded ‘Levitator’, you will find it here. And now for few of my favourites quotes, Muñeca (@_jessfett): “Words cannot even begin to describe how mesmerizing @iamlpofficial is.” Ali (@_alisaurus): “@iamlpofficial getting the love from the crowd last night… killer pipes on this little lady!” April (@apriiilxx): “Pinch me, did this actually just happen?! Thank you so much LP for such a great night. You were amazing, can’t wait to see you again.”
Elisa (@ladymamalee): “Just amazing! Amazing show! Amazing talented beautiful soul! Out of the many shows I’ve been to of LP’s, this is hands down the best show she’s done!” Elisa is Maddy’s mum, and Maddy despite her young age is a long-time LP fan, it was lovely to see them both again! @ladymamalee: “Maddy’s idol since age 3! #LP @iamlpofficial is such an amazing being and the fact that her voice is beyond this galaxy is just a bonus! Thank you for putting on the best show yet! And thank you for always meeting up with Maddy after your shows, these memories will last a lifetime for her ???.”
Ashley (@alchemical_imbalance): “I was in the presence of a goddess tonight: @iamlpofficial I didn’t think I was going to make but I have spent years waiting for this. Thao (@thao_le1): “@iamlpofficial what an amazing show. I am in awe of this woman’s talent.” Jacqueline Bhandari (@JackieBhand): “Got to see @iamlp in Philly last night! Soaring highs, sultry lows, a mesmerizing vibrato, and the most baller whistle you’ve ever heard, plus a great audience and genuinely fun performance!”
BringTheNoise (@MidniteTo6Man): “@iamlp How does someone with such an extraordinary voice manage to sound EVEN BETTER each time you play? You are insanely talented and tonight’s show in Philly was brilliant!” Julianne Mohr (@j_not_so_mohr): “@iamlp so glad I got to see you tonight, you put on a wonderful show, can’t wait to see you again! Thank you! ❤️.” LC (@laurenconzz): “If you don’t know her, get to know her.” Charlie (@cmarqq): “LP slaps.” If you mean with her voice, then yes she does! And that would be the end of quotes, but I do have lots of links for you!
Let’s start with this fresh new interview for The Unionville Times in which LP says: “I’m not releasing anything new right now. I’m working on an album and I’ll have a single out in a couple months. But, for right now, my show is a rock show and I’m still enjoying playing the old stuff.” For full article click here. Gallery of pics from the Truman in Kansas City is here. There is also a link to a full album on flickr. Review and gallery of pics from Brooklyn Steel can be found here. And gallery of pics from Royale Boston is here. PS. Kudos to TLA for a yoga mat for LP, nicely done!!
Today is a free-from-the-show day, tomorrow LP will perform at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
