Toronto loves YOU girl, this post will be long! SOO many amazing quotes that it took me forever to sort through all the reposts to find original sources – BUT, I’ve made it, finally! But first things first. Interview from Chicago for Sound Sessions is up online, and I would like to thank them for asking my question about “Recovery”, and to LP, for knowing me so well, and aswering in such a detail. It is indeed an older song, it was written 5 years ago, about her first love. It was LP who ended the relationship and she wrote this song from the other person’s perspective. ‘You Want It All’ was also written from that person’s perspective and this song gets me every time!! And now back to Toronto, after a free-from-the-show day, LP and her band arrived to Canada, where in the evening they performed at the Danforth Music Hall. Originally constructed as a movie theatre, the building was first known as the Allen’s Danforth and it was opened on August 18, 1919. I must say the venue looks incredible inside. Musical openers for LP were Kat Cunning, I do like her voice!! and Noah Kahan. Then it was time for LP to take the stage and reign, and boy did she reign!! She is THE Queen of Stage! And the love for her was very visible. Had to sort through many posts!!

In other news, gallery of pictures from Majestic Theatre can be found here. One more gallery of pictures from Showbox, including review, can be found here. Quote: “It was impressive that she was able to perform perfectly live what was produced on her records, which needless to say does not occur too often in today’s music performances. Fans sang every word of her songs like they were digging a classic rock band where everyone knew the lyrics. Besides her stage presence and audience engagement, LP’s stunning vocals have been compared to the power of Janis Joplin and what I would compare to Adele on steroids…”.
And one more review by ‘In The Loop Magazine’, this one is from Chicago. Quote from review after Kat Cunning: “I appreciate [L.P.’s] work… I’m so glad to be asked to join [L.P. on tour]. My manager said me and L.P. could be a good fit and was right! Now we are off to Detroit. I’m really glad to be paired up with someone so strong and unique. I want to write like her – she’s a wizard with melody – and as a solo performer does more than hold her own. I really try to balance and emphasize in collaboration – especially in social media – people who are alone tend to fail, so [we] need to search out people to become team members…”. Today LP takes the stage of MTELUS in Montreal.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
