From Chicago, LP and her band travelled to the state of Michingan, where late in the evening LP performed at The Majestic Theatre, Detroit’s signature independent concert house. Situated on Woodward Avenue in the heart of Midtown, the 1100 capacity venue which was originally designed by C. Howard Crane as a movie theater, opened on April 1, 1915 as the world’s largest of its kind. And it’s a beautiful venue, just as its name suggests. The ceiling is stunning.
Again, before LP there were two opening acts by Kat Cunning (do check her music!) and Noah Kahan (his too, but I said that already). My friend Lenara was there and she recorded “Recovery”, “Girls Go Wild”, and a tiny bit of “You Want It All” & “Strange”. Go to her youtube channel by clicking
here. She captured a lovely and at the same time funny moment of engagement between two LP fans, right after “Girls Go Wild”.
Then you can hear LP joking by saying “Somebody take a god damn picture and put it on Instagram or it doesn’t exist! We all know that right?! If it’s not on Instagram it didn’t happen. Don’t forget that. Cardinal rule of life now”, this was followed by even more jokes right before “Recovery”, just check recordings and you will be on the floor. I absolutely love her sense of humor. And her witty remarks. She is indeed an ultimate joker to me.

It was also lovely to see Sara (amongst many fans) – LP calls her Sara with no ‘h’, she has been following LP and her music for many years and I’m glad that she got to see LP last night again. Sara found the time and wrote few words for the blog: “After two great opening acts, LP began the night with Strange. She sang several songs from “Lost on You” and threw in crowd favorites, Levitator & Tokyo Sunrise! She also treated us to 2 new songs, Girls Go Wild & Recovery!”
“She said goodnight & left us all wanting more! After the crowd chanted “LP…LP…” for a few minutes, she returned to stage to perform Muddy Waters & of course, Into The Wild! The crowd went crazy! It was an amazing night that I’m sure her fans will never forget!” Thank you Sara! And few more quotes. Marie (@dkmarie2216): “@iamlpofficial, An amazing show, an amazing night.” Mariama (@bymariama): “Extraordinary #talent @iamlpofficial ?.”
Lenara (@lenara_violin): “Your new guitarist is such an angel!!!! He was smiling the whole show yesterday ? Thank you for placing those amazing musical seeds of love and happiness in each and everyone’s hearts last night! And one more, Mona (@monachromatica): “Only a few hours before the concert I wasn’t sure how I was going to get to Detroit, but it happened. It was quite the adventure and it was worth it. Anything for @iamlpofficial. ❤????.” That’s all for today, which is free-from-the-show. Video from the Session Podcat is not online yet, if it will pop up I will post link via social media, and then in the new post on the blog. 10 more shows to go, and then Russia!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
