Btw, days 12 & 13 of the tour (6th & 7th April) were recapped in my previous post (here). We are officially in the middle of ‘Smoke Em If You Got Em Tour’! Yesterday, 8th of April, LP played at the Jazzablanca Festival, at the Hippodrome Casa-Anfa in Casablanca, Morocco. Prior to the concert LP took part in a press conference at Mogador Hotel. You can re-watch it by visiting Welovebuzz Facebook website, by clicking here. Mogador also shared live feed, however quality of the sound is better in the Welovebuzz video.
LP also met with few journalists, including Sonia Noor (pic with LP here), Khouloud Kebali Sajid (pic here), her interview (about art, music, songwriting, also about feelings that inspire all of LP’s songs), will be up on Monday. I noticed that Khouloud enjoyed LP’s concert later that day! LP also met with Jihane Bougrine, pic of LP here. Not sure where & when that interview will be up.
In the evening was time for the show. I was very curious how Jazzablanca’s audience will receive LP and her music, since -mostly – this festival is dedicated to jazz music and jazz loving audience. I must say, I have had my answer quite soon. It already started with first sounds of Muddy Waters. And with each and every song LP was winning hearts of everyone in the audience.
By the end the crowd went almost wild, I must say LP was a huge hit and they really loved having her. There is a good quality video of almost half of the concert at Welovebuzz Facebook, you can view it by clicking here. Sadly it ends after the ‘Death Valley’, so it’s missing next 7 songs, including encore. Mogador Hotel also shared live feed, however it was interrupted few times, for videos click here.
For few nice quality images of the concert check Sife-Photography’s Instagram here. I won’t be using those in the post untill I will receive permission, since those are professional pics. I ask for permission for each & every pic I use on the blog anyway. Just to let you know. Update: I just received permission, very kind, thank you!
That’s all for now, if anything else pops out from Morocco, I will give links in my future posts. Few hours ago LP was spotted already at Casablanca Airport, since today she will be back in Switzerland for her concert at Salle des fêtes de Thônex.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
