Yesterday LP headlined Edge Fest, with Tai Verdes as Special Guest. Edge Fest is a free outdoor concert located in the heart of the West Edge District. This music festival was created to bring love and healing to an old, abandoned, industrial zone that is worthy of being saved.
The park where the festival is being held, was designed to not only make great use of a stormwater retention area, but to also bring music alive. This venue’s design allows for an audience tiered outdoor viewing experience, which is rare. It’s size and design makes it one of the most amazing, and intimate concert street party venues in the front range.
Judging from what was shared so far the crowd was rather intimate, though there were few familiar faces. You might wanna check @aviatorrae Instagram feed as she shared quite a few short videos from the concert. During “Lost On You” there was a fan favourite game with LP of throwing and catching phones 🙂
Then make sure to also check @lovelp_chile feed, as its founder was also at the festival. Alejandra and other lucky fans were able to see and even hug LP after the festival, which was caught on the camera. She also shared a short video of that meeting.
Alejandra also shared with us a setlist of the songs that LP performed at the concert. I’m including a photo of it in my tiny post. The setlist was pretty typical for an LP set, with addition of “My Body” that we’ve heard few times before, but it hasn’t been officially released yet. It’s from the ‘Churches’ album that it’s out on the 8th October.
I also found a post by @bagladies_and_cake: “Heading home after an EPIC concert at Edge Fest! Thank you so much LP for coming and sharing your awesomeness with us! It was totally worth the drive from Denver! I hope they gave her my piñata!!!!!!! Yes. I brought a piñata to the concert!”
“We had such an amazing experience with LP at Edge Fest tonight! The venue was outdoors so we felt very safe with our masks on. LP and her band played to the intimate crowd of maybe 500 (I am so bad at guessing crowd size) that we could have been thousands! We could get right up front! (Which of course I did to fly my piñata!!!). Thank you so much for an awesome amazing and unbelievably FREE concert.”
@hid_carter: “Ugh. Edge Fest DID NOT disappoint! didn’t get enough pictures cuz I was too in the moment but I’m so glad I got to share it with the people I did. it was a dream to finally see LP who blew me away and Tai Verdes was amazing!!” @nicolereyesaguilar: Thank you Tai Verdes & LP for a good ass day!”
@abrianaprince: “I believe people on the same energy wavelength cross paths. I’m thankful to make a new soul friend. For those of you who don’t know the artist LP, check out her music, she’s on all platforms. Also, enjoy the videos from Edge Fest last night’s show. Catch you in Denver “boo-boo” and thanks for such an intimate show.”
That’s it for now. I will add more to the post if anything else will be shared. Hopefully Edge Fest will publish some gallery from the concert, which is the last one for LP in the States – for now. Soon she hopfully returns to Europe. Well, I am keeping fingers crossed as I have a ticket to Budapest Park. We shall see.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
