In some countries you can already listen to Noah Cyrus’ collab with LP ft. her vocals. Song is titled “Punches” and it comes from Noah’s EP – “Good Cry”. Here’s how LP announced her involvement in that project, @iamlpofficial:

“Punches” was co-written by Joe Janiak & Jenna Andrews. Here’s what Joe wrote about this collab: “Noah Cyrus EP is out now. Featuring ‘Punches’ produced & co-written by myself. I met Noah writing this song. She came in so emotionally honest with no guard up at all, and together we made something I’m incredibly proud of. I knew this was a special song, so was in the studio till the early hours everyday getting the parts just right. Thanks to LP for the incredible feature vocal. And to Jenna Andrews for writing this with us. Hope you feel this song as much as I do. 🙏🏽 .”
UPDATE: I was able to reach out to Joe, as this song & duet has made a huge impact on me. It’s a beautiful compostition and I was eager to learn more. Joe kindly provided a bit more insight:
‘The song came from a really intense emotional place. Noah was feeling a lot of things at the time so we channelled it into the song.
It’s about the struggles of relationships. How they are a two way thing, that are hard, and at times feel like a battle.
Noah was a huge fan of LP and really wanted to hear her voice on the song. LPs voice injected this magical extra layer of depth. The two of them together really tell the story’
And few words from Jenna about the EP as well as the song: “So so proud of you Noah, this EP is so honest and raw and I couldn’t feel happier that it is out for the world to hear! Punches is one of my favorite songs we’ve ever done together. Love u always ❤️❤️❤️.” As for Noah’s “Good Cry” EP, she revealed that it: “is mostly just about how my emotions have been, and about my anxiety, and about how I’ve been struggling with depression, and how it’s okay to feel those feelings.”
In some time, we should know even more about the origins of “Punches” as Noah releases interviews via her Youtube, where she discusses songs from her EP. Also, Roman Gokhman, Editor-in-Chief of RIFF online magazine, chatted with Noah via phone, and they “spoke about a lot of stuff, including working with LP.” Once his interview will be up, I will update this post.
This song is absolutely brilliant & LP’s vocals are giving me all the feels. You need to check it out! The whole EP is worth listening to, but “Punches” is absolutely my favourite one. Below, are official lyrics & audio video to that song:
