After first real and proper day off from the tour (in Croatia), LP and the band arrived to Switzerland. Some lucky fans managed to see LP before and after the show. Yesterday LP took part in the Blue Balls Festival where she performed at The Concert Hall – KKL Luzern.
Out tireless reporter, Magali was there too, and here are her memories of that day! Magali: “In fact, on Thursday afternoon I was about to cancel my trip to Lucerne because of my work at the office. But for once it was a seated concert and I had the ticket for the 1st row.”
“As we say in France ‘no one is essential’ [we say that in Poland too!], that’s why I maintained the plans for my weekend in Switzerland and Germany. So I left the office very late, packed my luggage and drove all night long… A bit more than 1 000 km, 2 sleeps in the car, a few coffees and 14 h later, here I am in Lucerne.”
“It’s my first time in Switzerland. I counted: it’s the 12th country where I am went to see LP performing. Many of our German and Swiss friends are here: Mandy, Marion, Lenka, Angela, Claudia, Sandra, Katrin, etc…. Before the concert, some artists where interviewed, but we didn’t know if LP would be one of them as well.”
“We were so happy when she arrived to the stage. I think this interview will be broadcast by the Blue Ball Festival (as the introduction was in German/Swiss, I didn’t understand what they were saying). But the questions were in English, which was better for me.” Yes, they usually record the interviews and release those via Youtube, it should be up here in due time!
“Afterwards we waited for the beginning of the concert without queueing, as we did in Zafferana last week. During the concert, it was a bit difficult to stay seated, but you know when it’s not your country, you respect the rules. It was also really nice, because LP could come to us.”
“During ‘When We’re High’ a dozen of fans came to the stage. We shared a sight with my friends and we joined them too, as many other people. LP seemed very happy to see the audience at her feet. During the concert they played “Tokyo Sunrise” – not sure I heard it before at many concerts of this tour. This song is beautiful but I have to say that I miss ‘Someday’ too.”
“This evening was so incredible that we needed to thank LP in person. So, for once we waited for her after the concert. I also saw Cecil Campanaro from The Years, and I told him I really enjoyed their music in Italians shows. LP took photos with fans and signed our tickets with our names.”
“She was joking when it was my part, because it was difficult for me to spell my name in English. I didn’t explain to her that it was because I was awake for nearly 40 hours to be at this concert, because she seemed tired too… Tomorrow Fribourg awaits.”
Thank you Magali for taking time & writing about the concert! I wish you all incredible emotions, especially that this tour is coming to an end! Today LP is taking part in Zelt-Musik-Festival. Then 2 more gigs and it will be all over!
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
