Yesterday was a big day! LP, for the very first time in her musical career performed at Coachella – one of the largest and most famous music festivals in the United States and all over the world. LP took the stage of Mohave Tent, capacity can be up to 8.000, however not sure how many people came to see ‘our’ LP as her performance was quite early in the day. LP’s concert started at 1.35 in the afternoon and lasted for about an hour. LP will perform at the same time next week (22nd of April).

LP was joined on stage by Brian, Elias, Alex & Dan, but there was also a surprise addition! Those who watched carefully LP’s insta-story she shared earlier in the week, guessed correctly. Instead of additional playback (like back up vocals & music), LP had two back up singers. One of the singers should be known to some of you, Kameron is half of Liquid Courage Light Show. Kam & Dara who created the Liquid Show, often accompany Lauren Ruth Ward’s performances with their amazing ‘Psychedelic Analog’ concert visual experience.
But it wasn’t the end of surprises! Instead of LED? lights that we’ve seen during previous tours, behind LP and her band, there was a huge monitor with some video footage. Sadly LP’s performance wasn’t streamed live and it won’t be streamed live next week. Coachella only provides live feed on the first week of the Festival. However Mary Ann (huge LP fan) will be going to Coachella next week, and I’m sure she will capture some of the magic! Mary Ann, we count on you!
Yesterday I’ve seen many friends of LP who attended Coachella and showed their support on such important occasion in her career. There were also some old fans, like Nay who has loved LP’s music since day 1 she saw her live. Nay (@nayv91): “I first saw LP four years ago when she was opening up for Kodaline at The Casbah. Today I saw her play The Mojave Stage at Coachella and words can’t even describe how fucking insane that was. I’m so proud of you dude you’ve come so far and I can’t wait to see how far you’re going to go. My one since day one 🙏🏼 .”
I’m afraid I don’t have much to share with you, it was really hard to find video footage and it was even worse with quotes. Coachella is huge and sadly very little was shared about LP’s concert. Peter (@bypeterlarsen): “#LP, aka Laura Pergolizzi, has a great big ol’ voice, don’t she?”. Daniel Archuleta (@wolfslaw9669): “Wasn’t a standout best act of Coachella this year (for me) until just now – thank you @iamlp! That set just made my weekend, you’re amazing, Laura!!” As for the quotes, that’s it.
However, I did notice some official photographers at LP’s concert, so we should see more pictures later on. And still, week 2 of Coachella experience awaits us.
