From Ankara we are moving to Istanbul, where LP has given a concert at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Istanbul Jazz Festival. There was supposed to be only one concert, but since the tickets sold out really fast, the organizers planned another one, which has started as I was writing my post. Yesterday, before and after the concert there was a meet and greet with LP, you will find many pics and videos floating on the Instagram.
The concert was mostly seated, however there was also quite big area near the stage for those with standing tickets. My friend Magali had a ticket for a seated place and she was very far away from the stage, I hope she managed to exchange her place for tonight. According to Magali, Turkish fans were “very excited by the songs from LP’s last album (“Other People” & “No Witness”) and especially by “When We’re High”. They also loved “Tokyo Sunrise”, reaction was similar to the one in Ankara.
After the concert many people commented in the similar manner, that it was the best concert of their lives and they’we heard the best voice ever. Here are just few examples: Racounter (@merveduyaar): “literally the best night of my life.” Buket (@bukethaldunarya): “The most special concert of my life??? thank you so much @iamlpofficial ♥️.” @iremyman: “That was best voice i have ever heard and best concert i have ever been❤️ thank you???.” Buse (@raphaelwinterss): “Thank you for the greatest night of my life❤️.”
And a few more quotes that I liked, I couldn’t sort through all as many were in Turkish, and google translator isn’t good with this language. Erdem (@erdemserit): “a scream from heaven?” Buket (@bukethaldunarya): “Queen of whistles♥️♥️.” Busra (@cetinbusraa): “An incredible voice and performance.” Irem (@mermyid) “@iamlpofficial no words to say, you are more than beautiful.” Tuba (@tokertuba): “I guess this was one of the best moments in my life ❤️ Thank you for your perfect energy, excellent smile and team spirit ?.”
Also yesterday, LP was reunited with Panagiotis, Greek representative of one of the music labels in Europe. He was one of the very first people in Europe to discover & recognise LP’s incredible talent and bringing her to our continent. For those who do not remember this story, click here. It is quite an amazing story, story that changed everything for LP and made her a European star. For professional pictures from yesterday’s concert click here.
Tonight’s concert in Istanbul ends LP’s visit to Europe. She will return to the USA, where in just few weeks will perform (twice) at the biggest US festival – Coachella. This is another big step for LP in terms of musical carrier, especially in her home country, since she pretty much concquered the whole of Europe. I also hope that my coverage from Coachella will be posted at my new website, as me & my tech support friend are putting finishing touches to it. So keep your fingers crossed!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
