From Russia LP travelled to Turkey, where she is very popular. She will give 3 concerts in total, one already took place yesterday in Ankara, two more to come. It is first time to LP to be in this country and I think the level of excitement is as high as in Russia, it was very evident at many videos shared from her show. Yesterday LP performed for more than 3.000 people gathered at Congresium Ankara. It was a seated concert, at least for the most part of it, but at one point the crowd went wild. But good wild!
Today’s coverage is courtesy of Magali, LP’s huge fan from France, who travelled all the way to Turkey to witness LP live again! We’ve both met several times, most recently during UK tour. Magali: “Ankara was my first concert this year. It was a seated concert: first such expérience for me since I started following LP 1 year ago. It was also LP’s first concert in Turkey. I tried to talk with the Turkish fans who were waiting in front of the Congressium, but few of them spoke English… and I didn’t know a word of Turkish.”

“I was with a lady from Antalya, in the audience and it was very pleasant to share this concert with her. I think I was the only French fan in the audience, and I didn’t recognised anybody I have met last year during previous LP’s tours. But many people arrived few minutes before the concert has started, so I’m not sure. I couldn’t wait to see LP live again, especially that my last concert was in December in Riga. I really wanted to go to few concerts of the US tour or in Russia, but it was a bit difficult with my job.”
“But it was great to follow these tours with your blog and to see so many friends with LP (like Cris, Ilaria, Justine, Anna, Gemma, Cecile, and many more…). Tonight I really loved “Levitator” and the new songs: “Girls Go Wild” and “Recovery”. During the concert, many children run to the stage to give flowers and drawings to LP. It was very beautiful to see that. Soon after, they were joined by teenagers then many adults,… even myself who is usually so shy, but we couldn’t stay at our seats till the end of the concert. The next step for me is Istanbul.”
Magali, like I said before, I was very happy to see you go with the flow… It was awesome and I don’t blame you or the crowd. After all, it’s all LP! How this all happened, I found a great quote (& videos) courtesy of Ceren (@cerensari_): “My favorite one #tokyosunrise vs most of the people’s favorite #lostonyou ? I really don’t know how could this happen but starting from the #tokyosunrise all audience gone crazy ? She was stuck between singing and signing ? How can a person be as humble as this ? #puretalent.” For the rest of the concert many members of the audience stayed close to the stage and sang their hearts out.
As for the setlist, LP started with “Strange”, and followed with the ‘usual suspects’, especially that it was LP’s first concert for Turkish fans, so they all wanted to hear all her hits. I think it was a great show and both LP and her Turkish fans were very happy! Tonight LP will perform at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center in İstanbul. It will be first of two concerts. There was supposed to be only one concert, but when tickest went on sale it sold out so quickly, that they have decided to add one more for tomorrow. I do not have any new links for you, but to all those who celebrate I wanted to wish a Happy Easter!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
