Today LP is already in Tel Aviv for her concert that will take place tomorrow. Yesterday however she and her band rocked with a 40.000 strong crowd in France during Musilac Festival at Aix-les-Bains. Musilac is a multi-genre festival in Aix-les-Bains. Renowned for its diverse lineups, it welcomes some of the most popular artists across rock, electro, pop, rap, reggae and more. This year the festival celebrates its 15th edition, so the organisers have added an extra day to proceedings.

It must have been an incredible show, one of few first, for LP & members of her band, in front of such a huge crowd. I think almost everyone, including LP, posted a pic from yesterday’s concert. LP even did something extra during her performance. Something I’ve seen her doing for a very first time. Remember Freddie Mercury and his vocal improvisations with public? LP did something similar, she even posted a quick insta-video. I’m sure it was an unforgettable moment for her. You will see this at ‘Elle est LP’ facebook page, click here. The video starts with that bit. It’s just great!

During ‘Tokyo Sunrise’, there was a moment in which I thought, ‘ah there she goes – daredevil LP’. She couldn’t stay at the stage any longer, she had to jump down and make a connection with the crowd. Those are some really remarkable moments both for LP and of course those who are in the right place at the right time… In first row, so to speak. Again, at video linked above you will see a tiny part of that moment, sadly the live is interrupted and video ends.
Similar moment happened during ‘Someday’ – here‘s a really great quick video. Kudos to the security guy, both delicate & strong. Btw, according to review, LP jumped from the stage also during ‘Lost on You’. But more on that a bit later. LP – soon, you will be very famous amongst security in Europe. Ah, they need to excercise anyway! Someone’s gotta keep them up in shape!
As for quotes, not much, I have found only one, also I had to translate it via google! Tiphaine (@tiphaine_sson): “LP on stage at Musilac festival. Merveilleuse!! Quelle voix! Quelle présence et quelle sensibilité!! ? Longue et belle carrière à toi très chère”. Translation: “Wonderful!! What a voice! What a presence and sensitivity!! ? Long and beautiful career to you my dear”. One more by Nathalie (@nathaliejanczak): “LP #un diamant brut #performance vocale exceptionnelle”. Translation: “Rough diamond. Exceptional vocal performance”.
I will end today’s post by quoting part of review of LP’s concert from Virgin Radio. I used google translator as originally it’s in French, but I think translator did pretty good job, I have changed the grammar & wording where needed, but nothing major. “There are two categories of artists: first, there are those who simply climb on stage and fulfill their contract without ever doing more (they are few but there are). And then there are the artists like LP”.
“After giving everything to the festival-goers for more than an hour, LP jumps of scene to better meet them. Her gifts in one hand and her microphone in the other, she spent the last few minutes of her live with her audience and this is probably what have us marked the most. Of course, it is the mythical ‘Lost On You’ that closed this show both electric and humble. Like Texas or Birdy who succeeded on stage before her, LP proved that in terms of live, women know how to go about it”. Well, I think this sums it pretty well! For full review click here.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
