LA! Where to begin today’s post… It’s been a crazy ride this past month, I cannot believe US Tour is already over and that festival’s season begins in just 2 days. But first things first. Yesterday at noon, LP performed on the Southwest Sound Stage at the ALT 98.7 Penthouse, located on the rooftop at the Altana in Glendale. LP’s appearance was courtesy of RCA Records. LP was accompanied on guitar by her friend and executive producer of her latest record, Mike Del Rio of ‘Powers’. Sadly, the event was very private and there are only short videos of LP’s performance on radio’s Instagram & Twitter. I know that there was also an interview with LP, however we won’t get to listen to it as well.
I have found also few nice quotes, Titelle (@titelle): “?What a beautiful day today ☀️️?? attending @iamlpofficial private concert in Glendale. WHAT-A-VOICE oh my god…. she is incredibly talented…. thank you soooo much @iheartradio for such a happy and lovely moment”. Rosario (@rosario_chayo_diaz): “LP is an angel on Earth”. Radio @alt987fm: “Wailing on the mic and killin it on the harmonica… ? Nothing like spending a Monday afternoon with @iamlpofficial at the #ALT987Penthouse!”. Radio also added: “How amazing is that voice?! ? The epic sounds of @iamlpofficial on the #SouthwestSoundstage! ?? “. Katherine (@katherinejeffries): “I thanked her. I thanked for her work, for her words, for how her music pulled me through a very hard time. She is incredible – as an artist, singer and force. An unreal day. I’m over the moon”.
And now El Rey Theatre and the final concert of this tour! First, a little bit of trivia about the venue. El Rey was built in 1936 as a single-screen movie theatre and functioned as a cinema for nearly 50 years. From the 1980s to the early 1990s El Rey Theatre was a dance-music club called Wall Street, but since 1994 this theatre has been a live music venue which is now exclusively booked through Goldenvoice. The capacity is 771 and it also has a VIP balcony in the back. Much of the theatre, including the lobby, still retains its art deco roots, admired for its Zigzag and Streamline Moderne design. The theatre was designated as Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 520 on February 26, 1991.
LA and El Rey, and LP is finally home. It must have been such an amazing experience after so many years of struggle, finally celebrating success with so many of her closest friends in a city where LP has re-born as a song-writer and singer. The night was epic, I am sure of that! There are so many stunning pics over on Instagram, so many videos. I am so happy for LP, to finally be in the place where she belongs. First, let’s start the best quotes with Josiah’s, who opened for LP her final concert of this tour & wrote on his Instagram those words before the show started.
@josiahandthe: “@iamlpofficial thank you for bringing me on your sold out tour, for helping me sing about a 6 dollar check, and most of all for being an inspiration for any artist kicked down by the man again and again. you’re a true outlaw. ready to rock and yell and sing along one more time on this run. #fuck #em #up ?”. LP responded on those beautiful words by writing: “love you so much brutha. Thank for inspiring me all the time with your talent and easy charm. You’re a legend in the making and I can’t wait to watch it go up. Let’s do this again it was fun!! ❤️”. As for ‘6 dollar check’ (they sung it one last time yesterday), I have asked Josiah if there’s a chance that their duet will be recorded in the studio, and Josiah responded: “? good chance”. BEST NEWS!
There was also an opening act by Lauren Ruth Ward (LP’s love & partner), who is getting more and more fans each days. That’s how @nicolbiesekphoto describes her friend: “Meet Lauren Ruth Ward // I can not say enough about this beautiful woman’s love, energy, voice, and heart. So proud to call her my friend. Congrats on a beautiful night at El Rey @laurenruthward, this is just the beginning”. She also posted a stunning pic of LP. Lauren posted this comment today, @laurenruthward: “Thanks to my love, our bands, our friends and everyone who came last night. Truly a special experience”.
And now the quotes dedicated to LP. Photographer Cameron Sarradet (@csarradet) wrote after the concert: “One of those surreal LA nights. So grateful to have found such an amazing group of people to experience nights like these with. @iamlpofficial and @laurenruthward slayed the #elreytheatre ??”. He first met LP back in 2014 at The Grove, that’s what her wrote back then: “I had the most amazing night seeing this talented lady perform and meeting her afterwords! One of the most genuine and talented human I’ve met, for sure”. He added: “LP stole my heart last night, what a voice and incredible writer!”

I think this post was the toughest for me to put together. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a hard time with choosing pics, there were so many images to check and so many comments to read, and I’m sure there will be more. It was like Sophie’s choice! LP – it surely was a memorable night for many people! I hope Oświęcim will be as magical and memorable to me. And then London as well. I literally cannot wait to finally witness you live. I know you are incredible, I’ve seen your perfomances, but to witness you with my own eyes LIVE, it will be a whole another level. Less than two weeks to go!
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
