Today is a free-from-the-show day, but yesterday (June 06th), LP played yet another sold out concert, this time at The Shelter in Detroit. As a tiny trivia, a venue of the same name was featured in the film “8 Mile”, btw Eminem has performed at The Shelter in the past. Judging from the pics it was another intimate setting for the concert, for people up close and personal with LP.
Very little was shared from the concert, I found more insta-videos than pics, and only few comments. However first, I would like to say, that it was lovely to see Elias back with the band. Here, I would also like to do a shout-out to multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer – Louis Cato, who replaced Elias on the drums, when he was dealing with the loss of his friend.
As for the concert, Josiah opened for LP, however I couldn’t find anything. This time there wasn’t time for a duet. And now a few (very few) of my favourite quotes, @awellinger: “Just when you thought @iamlpofficial was perfect…you finally see her live and proceed to have your mind blown. #lp #foreverfornow #whistlingmaster #missyoualready #iamlpofficial”. Chad-Michael Simon (via Facebook): “LP’s performance last night was one of the best live musical experiences I’ve had the privilege of attending. I’m still reeling from her raw power and talent, her presence and genuineness”.
Mar (@mar.manzanares): “@iamLPofficial was amazing last night. Powerful voice ?✨?? “. Muna (@muna.jedski): “How was I so lucky to see this perfect human twice in my life? @iamlpofficial thank you for an evening that left your audience high. #whenwe’rehigh #lp #theshelterdetroit #raiseaglassortwo”. Karen Pat Kiczenski (via LP’s Facebook wall): “Love you, absolutely spellbound intoxicating songs & Music! Detroit & this gal is Lost on You”. She added: “Best show by FAR! Detroit thanks you!!! Again ❤️ U”.
I would like to give links to two quick insta-videos, first one “No Witness‘, where you can see how powerful this song is and how LP is happy to have her whole band back. Elias, we missed you. As for the second video, it’s to ‘Into The Wild‘, where one – very happy young fan of LP got to share a stage with her. LP, in London, please pick me! I am tiny and work with kids in kindergarten, this got to count for something! ?
Seeing this cute video, I had to ask, how this little girl end up on that stage, and the person who took the video kindly answered: Andrew (@abux77): It was awesome, LP was about to sing her last song and the girl’s mom threw her up on stage, the girl tried running off but LP grabbed her, told her to stay and talked to her. I think her name was Bella (Isabella), it was super cute she sang and dance to the entire song. LP was one hell of an entertainer, it was a great night”. Thank you Andrew!
Sorry, but that’s all I have for now. If something interesting pops out, I will update this post. On a side note, now you can view more photos and few videos from private concert at Tattoo Sound + Music. There is a full video of ‘Tightrope’ and 3 very short videos of ‘Up Against Me’, ‘Strange’ and ‘Other People’. You will find all videos & pics by clicking here.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
