LP and her band flew to Turkey on the 13th June ahead of the European Summer Tour. On the next day, after their arrival, they’ve had time to rehearse and sightsee a bit of Istanbul. LP mentioned during the concert that it’s a stunning city. It’s LP second visit to this country, she first performed in April 2018 during 25th anniversary of Istanbul Jazz Festival, when she has given 3 sold out concerts.

On the next day (15th June) LP has given first of three (in total) scheduled shows. First one took place at UNIQ Açıkhava Sahnesi (Outdoor Stage) in Istanbul. It was an open air concert with capacity between 2.500 (seated) to 3.500 (standing). Before the show LP met with some of her Turkish fans. She is very popular there and has a quite a lot of various fan accounts.
First I would like to quote Ferhat who had a pleasure of singing with LP. “Hi! I’m Ferhat, founder of @lpturkeyofficial_fc. First of all, I would like to thank LP for her wonderful night. Despite her limited time, she didn’t dissapoint me and did a duet with me for a second time. She said she remembered me and I had to keep playing ukulele.”

And when we went backstage, there were many other perfect things. Words are not enough to describe last night. Thanks to my friends and family they helped me a lot. I say again I love you so much. She is so cute and her face is flawless.”

Also looks like LP might need more tambourines after all, as already last night during ‘Muddy Waters’, she broke her new one (LP decided to use mine for the very first time) into many pieces. [I will add better video here if such will appear.] Sadly, to my knowledge, her old one hasn’t been recovered yet, but I still hope for a miracle. And that the venue where it was stolen, will do their job.
