LP ended her concert at Open’er in Gdynia in Poland before 1 at night. Straight from our country LP had to take a private jet to arrive in time to Moscow for her appearance at Lastochka Festival later the same day. I don’t think she get to sleep at all. Also that day LP was reunited with Lauren, who joined her on this tour, to celebrate their official, 4th year anniversary – congrats to our girls. And here’s coverage about the concert courtesy of @nadezhdami13: “Lastochka Music Festival was first held in Moscow in 2016. It is supposed to represent a new concept of big city events combining modern music, food, arts, lifestyle, sports and other activities.”
“In 2019, after the one-year break due to the World Football Championship 2018, the festival returned to its place at the main “Luzhniki” stadium on the picturesque bank of Moskva River – in the very heart of Russian capital, just in a few kilometres from the Kremlin and the Red square. This year the music program covered various styles – from rap and hip-hop to rave and soul. LP shared the stage with Lil Xan, Bhad Bhabie and other musicians. It looked somewhat unusual but the audience gave an equally warm welcome to every participant. Anyway, LP was the gem of the program, which most of the Russian fans (the whole front row actually) had been waiting for 5 hours and more, under the rain and sun.”
“The performance in Moscow was shorter compared to the other concerts within “Heart to Mouth” tour – 45 min only. But it was really bright and, in addition to the tour`s playlist, Moscow fans could enjoy the “Day by day”. We were also lucky to catch a glimpse of LRW taking her pictures of LP and the band. Hope she enjoyed her visit to Moscow. Before the final “Lost on you” song LP raised a can of Russian drink (I`m not sure whether it was Kvas) and thank her Russian fans for another warm welcome. Some sad things. Sadly, there was no open M&G session in Moscow, even the briefest one after the last song when she usually comes from the stage to the first row.”
“Some fans were crying 🙁 However, the organising team did invite a few selected people for a private M&G, but that was not easy also. And some Russian lady gathered a pack of gifts at private M&G – presumably to pass them to LP, but nobody has seen them since. It would be great to find out their fate. Anyway, I personally would like to say HUUGE thanks to LP for her brief visit to Moscow. It was a great pleasure, as always. And, speaking about the gift`s fate, how is my tiny orange Matryoshka I`ve given LP previously? @lpblessyou: “I finally collected my thoughts and am ready to tell you how my first meeting with LP went. To begin with, the organization of Lastochka Festival was simply disgusting. The guards did not allow me to carry the ukulele with me when others were allowed. We have been waiting for LP behind the scenes. A woman came to us and said that you can make ONLY one photo and get ONLY one autograph under the pretext that the LP did not get enough sleep and she was angry… This woman asked to give all the presents to her, explaining that “if you give away the presents to her, she will be angry and leave” / the presents that we gave her in the end did not go to LP /.”
“We had 30-60 seconds to communicate with LP. Hug, take a photo, get an autograph and leave. Everything. This is all that could be done. Since I don’t want to end on a bad note, I’ll say that, no matter what, I am extremely glad that I had such a chance. It was my first meeting with LP. She has a beautiful, bright smile, clear laugh, beautiful voice, different from the record, soft curls and, God, she is WARM !!! At last LP can take a very quick break, she’ll resume her tour on the 10th of July in Belgium. I still need to catch up with Down The Rabbit Hole and Open’er Festivals. So thanks god for those few days off.
