Second day of LP’s mini UK tour, and coverage again courtesy of Bekki Milner (@spookymilner): “After the LP tour de force struck London, Manchester was ready for it! We arrived at the venue with around 30 other people waiting. LP gave us a wave as she went into the building shortly after.”
“The O2 Ritz was very organised, and I have to commend their security staff who not only arranged for the O2 priority queue to go in after the people who had started queueing early, but also started to let us in 10 minutes early due to the number of people and searches they had to do. It’s a theatre style venue, and I think the smallest stage of the shows I’ve seen so far.”
“The crowd is eager, and it quickly becomes a little claustrophobic near the front, with more people pressing behind you than usual. There’s a bit more rowdyness too, people are really excited to see LP. Powers felt it, bouncing off the energy and warming up the crowd. The more I listen to these guys the more I need their music – some of which isn’t yet available. But we’ve heard that somethings on the way, just not sure when yet!”
“LP apologised during the set that she partied too hard in London the night before, but that didn’t seem to affect her performance in any way, and she delivered another high energy set to a crowd that soaked up every second. Standouts for me tonight we’re The Power, Tightrope, Shaken, Special, and a sweet moment during House on Fire, when LP descended the stairs at the side of the stage to give Lauren a kiss – to cheers from the audience.”
“It was really nice to see Lauren singing and dancing along with all of us. Hopefully there will be some energy left for Birmingham tonight. I can’t imagine how LP and her crew must feel, so much respect and thanks for them all doing 3 back to back nights like this – I’m looking forward to my bed for a couple of days before the final night in Glasgow.” Thank you Bekki for finding the time and writing for the blog & its readers!

And her voice is just incredible. If you get the chance to see her live, DO IT! Ahhh dream come true. Until next time LP!!!”

Earlier today LP was back in London to do a quick interview & live session for BBC Radio 2.
She was a guest of ‘The Michael Ball Show’ (Richard Madeley sits in and is joined by LP). You will find the podcast by clicking here. It will be available to listen for about a month. Also, another lovely interview with LP for Seznam Zprawy was released today (from her time in Prague), click here to watch it. Tonight LP plays in Birmingham!
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
