We are after another incredible night. Yesterday LP performed at a beautiful Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C. This concert brought us a moving duet – LP joined her supporting artist, Korey Dane to sing with him his original song titled “Blood on the mattress”, and while I know recording will never properly “express” the real thing, it’s always better to get at least a fracture of that amazing feeling that yesterday’s audience was blessed with.
Thank you LP Gang for recording the whole thing and for letting me post it to my Youtube. I also recommend checking @iamecurly Instagram cause she posted a tone of videos from last night and few other nights of this tour. Thank you also to everyone who reaches out to me and shares their personal stories. It’s very touching! And now few of the best quotes about LP and the gig.
@willowfairy989: “I’ve wanted to see LP since she came to DC last year about this time (but I missed her because I was studying abroad). If you think her recordings are impressive, wait until you see her live!” @p0ppigirl: “Jesus. Her voice is not of this world. Her set hasn’t even started… this was just a treat [duet with Korey]. I’ve been waiting so long and… WOW. Korey Dane I am so happy to be introduced to your music.”
@suzvj: “My first time seeing LP and I’m so glad I saw her at this amazing venue. She is probably one of the best singers and performers I have seen. She loves interacting with her fans in the audience. I couldn’t stop smiling. I was in complete awe of her talent and singing abilities. I can’t wait to see her again in the future. The sound quality of this venue was fantastic and what a pretty place!”
@jenni_button: “THANK YOU LP for one of the best shows I’ve been too! Never have I seen someone engage their fans so much and make it special for all of us! I mean… literal chills!” @egondela: “Our yearly pilgrimage to see LP. Awestruck; as always. The last time we saw her at the Lincoln she was the opening act. It’s absolutely amazing to see her well deserved success.”
Tonight LP plays another show at Washington, this time at 9.30 Club. Tomorrow is a free-from-the-show day and then Florida awaits. I’m very happy to see that there is no sign after the illness and that LP is truly enjoying herself during this tour. I think having Lauren by her side, helps a lot with daily routines and in stressful situations. I don’t think I’ve ever seen LP happier and more playful like on this tour.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
