Last night LP played a show in Nashville at the Marathon Music Works. This was also the final night for Georgi Kay to be the opening artist for LP. That’s how she thanked her friend for this amazing opportunity. @georgikay: “I have had the most incredible week opening for you on tour brother! Thank you so much for believing in me and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. I had so much fun and have learnt an incredible amount, with plenty more to learn ahead. Until next time LP – I fucking love you man! Wishing you nothing but the absolute best!”

And now some of the best quotes: @kyleneross: “LP killed it tonight, loved this show. This song was in the encore [Muddy Waters]. Idk how she could even do this after an hour and half of high intensity singing. She’s the real deal y’all, that was work, what a pro.” @lils.mp3: “thank you LP for rocking my world tonight. Awesome show with some awesome gals.” @omridolev: “LP. What a beautiful human.” @mwacker7: “LP gave everything tonight. Her vocal range is pure insanity. I dream to photograph one of her concerts because she moves all over the stage.”
@kmohning: “This little human disguises one of the biggest voices you’ve ever heard. And she’s an epic whistler. We love you LP!” @borbor_pain: “No words. You just have to be here. Stop sleeping on her.” @matt.ferguson.33234: “LP really put on a show tonight!!!” @bromine5280: “LP blowing the doors off this bitch.” @calladellaney: “could spend time finding some lyrics to caption this with but all I rlly wanna say is: @ God, thanks.” @br33butt: “If you knew about the hardships I’ve been through this past year, along with a hand full of loss, and heartbreak.”
“And you’ve listened to her music, then you’ll understand why and how she has gotten me through the things that she did. Her voice and her lyrics were everything that I didn’t know I needed. Seeing her perform tonight, and being in the crowd, being able to sing with her was the best experience I’ve had along with the raw emotion and energy coming from all the different types of people in the crowd. Whom she’s probably also helped in more ways than one. I look up to and appreciate this beautiful, talented human so fucking much. Thank you, LP.”
@nicolekazmierzak: “Few things are better than witnessing an artist pour all of themselves out right in front of you. LP blew me away. What a great night!” @pearloftheearth: “LP oh holy lakes of YES. That swagger! Thank you for exfoliating our souls!!!” @mmusicworks: “Girls got PIPES. Thanks for the unforgettable show LP.” @awsnapshots: “Y’all. If you don’t know who LP is, you need to. Damn, that voice! I ain’t even gonna apologize for sharing.” @annalisa_jenee: “LP is even better live!! Her voice is just phenomenal and she sang all my favorite songs!”
Here’s also story from Elizabeth Waters: “Neuromuscular condition be damned. Yesterday I loaded up the best friend and her daughter to drive the 2 hours to Nashville to see LP in concert for the second time. Last year my worry was that my legs would have worsened to the point I would be unable to attend; though my secret for this trip was that I had a wheelchair in my Jeep should I have required it… but my pride prevailed and no one guessed how much discomfort I was in. That being said, the discomfort was well worth it!”
“Laura Pergolizzi is what I would call a voice of a generation and possibly the voice of an entire civilization. Her word prose and linguistic layering within her music are sustenance for music lovers starving for content – which is then enhanced by her delivery. This is why I leave Appalachia and make the long road trip to experience her shows. Her love for her fans is evident when she takes the stage and stretches her operatic notes to new heights while the crowd screams in disbelief.”
“She, in essence, shows you the window to her soul and then opens that window and lets you swim in the pure love she has for music. As the fans bathe in this ambiance, the veteran concert goer can see the magic LP weaves when on stage. There is no slight of hand or trickery; just shear musical genius paired with absolute adoration for those who travel to celebrate that musical genius. I missed out on the meet and greet option as I was sick and in the hospital when they were offered for sale.”
“As soon as I was home and recuperating, LP became very ill and had to reschedule several shows. When I was sick, I wanted two things: my Nanny Clara’s quilt and music. The comfort derived from both aided in my healing. I wondered if LP had the comfort of such a quilt on her tour bus – so I decided to make her one. There is video on YouTube under the “Hillbilly Heart” channel of the process I went through to make this quilt. I put the quilt in a gift bag with a tiny note stating I hope she received some comfort from this quilt in her travels.”
“I was very thankful that the LP Fans and Friends group, whom had been able to purchase meet and greet tickets, and took this gift in and delivered it for me. Wonderful people! I also shared my new Orson buttons with them. Every person I came into contact with was a positive individual with a story worth hearing and a smile worth seeing. Perhaps one day I’ll be in the line to meet LP – and perhaps it isn’t meant to be.”
“But, if you have the option to see this musician (that seems like such a small word to describe what she does for our hearts, souls and minds when she sings) please do see her live. I sat last night watching all those around me and thought, “If you can see her sing live, hear this magical voice and NOT fall in love with this tiny ball of energy and musical prowess, you don’t deserve to wear the title of human being… for she finds the humanity that encompasses us all and pulls you in for a reminder of the true beauty of the human condition.”
“Enjoy your quilt LP. I’t s a small thank you for the comfort your voice has brought me throughout my health trials and tribulations. Next year will require a wheelchair if I’m able… and I’ve said possibly I won’t be able to go… but my best friends knows me all too well and said I’d be right there…with red ribbons tied to my chair and Orson buttons for everyone!” Thank you @izzbywaters for sharing your story with us!! Today LP has a free day, tomorrow she will perform at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Texas!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
