So last night LP returned to her hometown, New York, she spent there many years trying to break through as an artist. Her comeback was triumfant as she sold out the 3000 capacity venue. Quite a departure from her early years and playing tiny clubs that held about 50-60 people… In fact as I’m comparing her tours and venues (even from 2 years ago) she is only growing bigger and bigger.
During last night’s performance there was a funny situation, someone threw a pack of cigarettes so LP could sign it. LP said: ” I don’t condone smoking but fuck it – we’re all gonna die”, and she threw it back afterwards accidently hitting her fan in a face. So she said: “I am so very sorry! I have a crush on you that’s why that happened”. LP joked some more, you can see it in a video courtesy of @grazka715.
Today’s coverage is courtesy of Magali who flew from France to the States: “As many other European fans, I decided to travel to USA for this tour. We are several “LP people” that stay in touch in between the concerts. Because of that we managed to organize ourselfes for this tour, to exchange informations and good bargains.”
“In fact this concert in New York was not in my USA plans, but my Italian friend convinced me to travel to this one too (allora: grazie Angela). We thought that seeing LP in her hometown would be special… And it really was. LP’s show is more rock than her previous shows I have seen in Europe. I loved her cover of Kings of Leon ‘Sex on Fire’.”
“I really discovered this song during LP’s Heart to Mouth promo in Europe (or at least in France. I especially remember her interview & live performance for m6 music, a very great moment for me). During the show in New York LP received many things to sign for her fans. I also noticed a man and a woman who were ‘signing’ LP’s lyrics during the show.”
“I think that some deaf people where on the guest list and could appreciate this concert, thanks to those 2 persons. I have to say that this concert (especially Recovery) was very emotional. Playing in the hometown for an artist is always something special. I also saw Lauren and recognized many of her and LP’s friends.” Thank you Magali, glad you had an awesome time. And now few of the quotes that I found the most interesting.

@michael_dennedy: “About last night… LP is mind blowing, seductive, and a TOTAL rockstar!!!! She is a must see if you want to experience a higher lever of originality, talent, and uniqueness!” @marybuckley126: “LP killing it at terminal 5! Thanks for an incredible show.” @pugsnbubs: “Rarely have I heard such perfection. What an insanely awesome show.”
And one more from Lisa, who sent it to me privately: “Last night in NYC LP was absolutely electric. This was my 19th LP show and I can genuinely say that I have never seen her more energetic, playful and positively joyful onstage than at Terminal 5.” Lisa, I think we all can see she is totally owning her shows! Today is free day and tomorrow LP plays House of Blues in Boston.

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
