“So she came back to Europe again. Even though we knew that LP would be in Rome and Milan to meet fans and sign the new CDs, we decided not to participate in those events… so busy at work these days. But we’re always looking forward to see her singing in live sessions. Then … buum! Rai Radio2 – the Italian national radio – announces that it will host LP in a live session: a special and exclusive evening. Venue: the historic “Sala B” of the legendary Rome radio station.”

“Just wow! Hey, wait: LP had already been there several months ago! Maybe we’re drunk and we’re reading old news. No, it’s December 8 this year! So we have asked to participate, but we thought that because of the few places available nothing would have happened. Instead a few days ago… buum again! We received an e-mail invitation! Panic. What should we do? Go there, obviously… an exclusive session as this one is an unrepeatable privilege. So…let’s go!”
” The event started around 10.20 pm. With Carolina Di Domenico and Pier Ferrantini presenters, the evening was an intimate and intense event. A great way to show-case her new work. LP is always splendidly kind, polite, empathic, and there was a very powerful atmosphere. We’ve already heard live all the songs she sang many times, except “When I’m over you”, but it was like listening for the first time all her songs, old and new. We were so close…”

“The closeness, the intimate atmosphere, the acoustics have exalted her extraordinary vocal talent: purity and strength, perfection and passion. We could even breathe her phisycal effort, her concentration, her hunger for connection. What remains is the poignant and obsessive echo of her mesmerising voice. Please, do it again. Last but not least, the pleasure to see again some LPeople friends we’ve met several times during the last LP’s Tour. We are hoping to see you soon!”

As for the setlist, LP sang: Girls Go Wild, When I’m Over You (for the first time live ever), When We’re High, Recovery, Dreamer, Into The Wild and Lost on You. I believe LP France managed to record the whole thing, sadly Rai Radio 2 deleted live feed after it aired. There was also tiny interview in between. I do recommend to check the full thing as it’s definitely worth seeing! For more pics from last night, click here. Today LP is Milano for another fan meeting!
