From Carborro LP and the band travelled to Charlotte in North Carolina, where they performed at The Underground. Venue was opened quite recently and has capacity of 750 (compared with 2,000 at the neighboring Fillmore), both are operated by Live Nation. Another intimate performance for her fans. We are only two concerts away from finishing this tour! I cannot quite believe how quickly it went by. Then LP won’t get much rest, as on the 15th March she is due to play her first concert of her Russian tour! But before this happens we are still in USA.
My friend Lisa was also in Charlotte and here are her thoughts about the concert: “Tonight, LP rocked Charlotte, North Carolina, at The Underground, another intimate venue. She seemed a bit more subdued than in recent days, perhaps because the tour is winding down and she has been working so tremendously hard for her fans on this tour. The setlist remained the same as it has been over the last few nights except she once again added Someday during the encore between Muddy Waters and Into The Wild. She said someone specifically requested it but she did not say who!”
For sure it wasn’t me, but perhaps some close friend or a fan? But I’m glad you all were treated to this additional song, since it was missing for the most part of this tour. Lisa has been recording a song or two from all the concerts she has been to, and you will find her videos by clicking here. And few more quotes starting with this great one, Mel (@_hudak_attack_): “Watching a rad woman slay with rad women on women’s day wasn’t so bad…” Yesterday was Women’s Day and wheter you celebrated it or not, I feel like with LP, every day is Women’s Day!
Joe (@drjoe68): “LP fucking killed it! What a show!” Amy (@amy_henion): “Saw LP live at the Underground tonight and she is divine. Take me now, O beautiful, androgynous angel queen!!! ???.” Monica (@elizondom123): “Saw #LP for the first time and she blew my mind! Great way to spend #internationalwomensday.” Lux (@lux.fcisco): “I knew LP would be good live, but wow ??.” And I am afraid that is all I was able to locate. Today LP is already in Nashville, in the afternoon she was a guest of Acme Radio‘s programme ‘The Vinyl Lunch’. Programme was 2 hours long and it will be available to listen as a podcast. I will post link in due time.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
