First of all, sorry for such delay, but I really didn’t have the time to catch up with everything sooner. On top of that, when I thought post on El Rey was hard to write, well Russia you have proven me VERY wrong. There are hundreds of pictures and videos, and I wasn’t able to look into all of them. Physically impossible, not at least for someone with a job and it’s end of school year, so total frenzy as well.
Before her concerts in Russia, LP got to answer on questions of some of her Russian fans in this great video-interview (click here). On her first day in Russia, LP visited Radio Europa Plus. While in the studio LP and her band performed three songs, answered on some of the questions and also took pictures with the audience. For pictures of the visit, as well as videos of acoustic ‘Lost on You’, ‘Other People’ and ‘When We’re High’, click here.
You can also view full video of LP’s visit to the studio, including performances and interview, click here. It’s worth noting that LP thanks her fans during the interview, she says she likes coming to Russia and is thankful for all the support. LP has been visiting Russia since 2014 at least, she had been giving a lot of private shows back in the day, prior to her European success, and it was exactly in Russia where she was inspired to get her ship tattoo.

LP also got to meet with her friend Kirill Dzham who handed her Double Platinum for ‘Lost On you’. Adding pic of him & LP he wrote via Instagram and sort of Russian Facebook: “With Queen!! Congrats @iamlpofficial with official Double Platinum Single Lost On You!!! It is almost triple plat but time flies) thanks so much for giving us chance and trust! You are always part of Effective Fam @effectiverecords 1000% indie no bullshit no politics #dzhamnation”. Click here to view his post.
Then finally was the time for her first concert in Russia. LP performed at Crocus City Hall (Russian: Крокус Сити Холл). The concert hall is a part of Crocus City complex (Crocus City Mall, Crocus Expo, hotels, restaurants). The building is constructed in memory of Russian-Azerbaijani singer Muslim Magomaev and owned by millionaire Aras Agalarov. The hall has 7,500 seats. I think it was one of first such huge venues where LP performed so far as a main artist.
Like I said, there are tons of amazing pictures and great videos, it is impossible for me to put them all up here but I will post links to best ones. Also as for quotes it was really difficult for me to locate many, as most of them was in Russian. I knew this language really well back in the day, sadly I forgot as I haven’t been using it much. Ok, so let’s start. Here‘s video of LP greeting her Russian fans. She says dobrý večer, that’s ‘Good evening’ in Czech language.
During her performance LP has gotten many gifts, including yellow ukulele and bandana. For video click here. Video of another gift for LP is here, she’s so great! There was also handing of flowers, when LP got off the stage to greet some of her fans, video here. Some flowers were literally thrown at her, video here! LP also got many paintings, here‘s great video of handing her one of a few. I also wanted to inlcude a video of LP learning how to say ‘I love you’ in Russian. That one I actually remember and it is ‘ja tiebia ljublju’ (that’s how it sounds when you say it).
Now for those few English comments, Annisa (@ya.anissa): “Amaaaaaaazing one and only @iamlpofficial. Her voice will open your heart and let your soul fly! I love you @iamlpofficial . I cry everytime, when I hear this song! [Muddy Waters]. Thank you for amazing evening!”. @zuevaksu: “She’s soooo great! @iamlpofficial The Russians love you”. @tea__queen: “❤️❤️WE LOVE YOU @iamlpofficial ❤️❤️IT WAS UNFORGETTABLE ???”. @m.polina.y: “Dear @iamlpofficial! You are perfect!✨ “Spasibo” for your music!?We love you and look forward to your next visit to Moscow!❤️”.
And few more! @lobachevski: “Lots of love for @iamlpofficial and big thanx to everyone who made this real! She’s sexy as hell”. Lusia (@lulline): “Thank you so much for such an amazing night, Laura! A wondrous concert with one of the best female vocals I’ve heard so far. Thanks for your warmth, fantastic rays of pure energy and drive! I really enjoyed it and wish it didn’t end that quickly. Thanks for these magic moments and inspiration! ✨ “. Vladette (@khamraevaa_.): “thanks @iamlpofficial for visiting us! I wish to turn back time and have this great time again!?”.
And even more! @valerijemchugova: “Thank you LP, thank you guys!✋️You’re blow my mind ! ?Your songs’re in my heart! S p a s i b o ❤️”. @kseniyamatveevaa: “LP- The most talented, the most honest, the most open, the most incredible singer who experiences all her songs on the stage again and again and puts 100% of her time on her listeners! No words, that would describe my feelings for her and her talented ! It’s only energy and heat that comes from it to people!?I Love her! Thank you @iamlpofficial”. Kseniya added: “Such a small, fragile woman with insanely strong energy and warmth inside! She’s special! Thanks for the concert @iamlpofficial from Moscow ?? ?❤️?”.
I also decided to include one quote that was originally in Russian, but I think google translator manage to translate correctly most of it. @Sofaafos_official: “Freedom of the spirit, voice power, crazy charisma and simplicity at the same time. It’s LP, it’s worth seeing and hearing her live at least once. At some point it seemed that she was lost in the huge hall of the crocus city. I really thought it was not a format for a subculture. Presented how cool it would be on a club performance … And then the flowers and soft toys flew on the stage. And Laura was delighted so directly-childish, jumped into the dance floor and hung out there for the joy of the fans”.
“And after the completion of the main program for another half an hour she played in the Hawaiian ukulele, whistled and sang in her trademark style – she joyfully and loudly bawled))) And so it all riot and happy was over, that now it remains to wish the people of Petrograd inspiration from the concert – Laura Pergolitsia, she LP tomorrow pleases the northern capital. Took the latter and did not regret it. The seen and heard (+ even new acquaintances) cost all that panic before receiving the bracelets, fearing to be not in the front rows and the thrashing at the scene. In general, listen to LP, who did not listen to it. I assure you will fall in love with her incredible whistle, an unforgettable voice and a crazy energy”.
I found one more interview with LP during her bus trip, right after her Europa Plus performance and it is lovely! Click here. She mentions in this interview her Russian tattoo for ‘LOVE’. For gallery of pics by Anna Ponomareva click here. Gallery of pic from Crocus City Hall is here. Today was suppose to be a free day from the show but LP flew over to Rome for a Wind Summer Festival. I have no idea where I will cover this, but I want to catch up with LP’s St Petersburg concert tomorrow, and then I’m off for the weekend to see LP by myself at Life Festival Oświęcim this Saturday.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
