Today’s post will be a little bit different as I have asked someone that I have met through LP’s fan community to write, what it’s like to be the lucky one to listen to LP live at her concert. @fr_colors who lives in Italy was in Padova yesterday (2nd April), she is one of my first blog followers, she is always very kind and reads every post I write. Here’s what she wrote:
“Yesterday many fans came to Teatro Geox very early. We came at about 18.45 (because we had grandstand tickets and at theater Geox it was unlikely to be able to see LP before the show), but we were so lucky because they let people in at 19.00 (we HAD tickets for seats, but we were able to get VERY NEAR the stage… & so many people done the same!).
“At about 20.45-20.50 Lauren Ruth Ward started her show, she played about 7 songs (but sorry, I’m not sure about real number 🙁 ). [from me: I think she played the same set as the day before, so 8 songs in total.] She was connecting with people. She told us that she loves Italy and “Italians”… she meant LP’s origins 😉 (and so did LP, recalling what Lauren said).
“A little after 21.30, LP started with ‘Muddy waters’: all of the people were very excited. The song list was the same as on the days before. I immediately had goosebumps: her voice is extraordinary. When she played ‘Tightrope’ (beautiful song), @LPITAOFFICIAL – Italian fanclub organized fan action: some of the people have lifted red lighted bracelets and during ‘Other People’ fans were making bubbles like in Nonantola”.

“Often the crowd sung with LP, I think she likes it! At the end (before the last two songs: ‘Forever for now’ & ‘Into the wild’) people that were seated on the tribune, lifted green-white-red sheets to make Italian flag: LP seemed to like it very much!”.
“When she played solo ‘Forever for now’ it was electrifying: such a thrill … her voice is indescribable and unique. She captured me with her voice. ‘Forever for now’ is one of my favourite songs… but, well…. I can’t really choose A favourite song”.
“The concert ended with ‘Into the wild’, the crowd was very excited, it was really amazing. After the concert ended, we waited for LP and, obviously, she went out to her fans…. like I wrote on Twitter, she has an incredible patience and she’s very kind with fans: she took pics and signed autographs until nearly midnight. She was always smiling. Also Lauren went out to take pics and sign autographs. Then we also met Elias for a little while, at the theatre bar… he was so kind with us“.
“At home, I wasn’t able to go to sleep until 2.30… and this morning my mind is still on yesterday’s night. Listening to her live is a unique experience and those who can do that, are surely the lucky ones. Her voice is a gift for us. So I really hope you can do that very soon during Oświęcim Festival. We are are going to listen to her again in Cattolica, on the 4th of July, and I hope on many more occasions in the future“…

“I know you can find better descriptions than my words on Twitter and Instagram, and many pics, videos and more. Those descriptions will certainly be more accurate than mine, but what can I say? … she enchants you and brings you into her songs and her voice… and you are going to lose your mind on that. I also liked what @moon_grisu wrote to LP on Twitter this morning: “Your voice is like the sound of the universe, you’re wonderful”… it’s so right and real!”.
@fr_colors, thank you for taking the time and writing about all those incredible emotions after LP’s concert. I really like your description and I’m sure many people will appreciate it, when reading your words. My English is far from perfect, so I wouldn’t worry about grammar. What counts are real emotions & empathy. Thank you! PS. more official pics of yesterday’s concert can be found here.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
