Yesterday LP made an official return to Europe with her first European post-pandemic concert (we are not really out of the woods yet, but for the time being, let me use this phrase). LP took the stage of the Lujo Hotel Bodrum on the coast of Turkey – admission to the concert was free for the hotel guests.
It’s a 5 star hotel, so the audience was not made of an “usual” European LP fans, but it’s safe to say that it has changed really soon. The audience was mesmerized by her. And not to mention that LP will be performing at Jazz Open Stuttgart tomorrow, so I’m sure we’ll see many familiar faces really soon!
The band has changed a bit, it’s still Brian Stanley on the bass and Neal Daniels on the drums, but there is a new guitarist, I think it’s Grecco Buratto who played with LP for Spin Magazine. Alex is currently in Miami with Enrique Inglesias, but he’ll be back for the US tour.
snippet of “My Body” courtesy of @nevasha_daria – thank youMax Mitchell is no longer LP’s keyboard player, he passed his torch to Eric Scullin few weeks ago. European fans will also meet Talayeh again (LP’s assistant) and Luis Munoz aka modernguitartech (on Instagram), who takes care of all the guitars, and there are quite a few.
I didn’t find a setlist, but it appears that the show was pretty much what LP was recently performing in the States. I couldn’t find many photos, only few (seen in this post), but there were several videos shared by the audience and you will find those on my YouTube.
And here are the few quotes: @karabelnikovakaterina: “There was an LP concert yesterday. Impressions will last for a long time. Voice!!! Charisma!” @veniamin_770: “LP! It was amazing!” @nevasha_daria: “It was very romantic! Incredible energy! Gorgeous voice! One song is better than another!”
And one more from Derin, @pergolizz.i: “Incredible day. Thank you so much for coming. it’s an honor for us to host you in our country. see you again on the turkey tour next year. #lpofficialturkey is always with you, don’t forget that.”
I’m sure I will have a lot more to share from Stuttgart tomorrow, as already many of my friends arrived to the city! I hope you will all have an awesome time!! And that by some kind of a miracle you will all get to hug LP. Sadly my plans for Budapest are fucked. C’est la vie…
Oh and there is one more thing, it appears that the release of the ‘Churches’ album has been pushed to the 3rd December! Don’t ask my why. No official word yet but I hope we’ll find out soon.

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
