Really quick entry on the Quebec show, sadly not much was shared. Anyway, LP gave a sold out show at Impérial Bell on the 12th February. Lauren Ruth Ward was an opening artist, and LP surprised the audience as she jumped on stage to perform “Sheet Stains” in duet with Lauren, for the first time during this tour.
I’m hoping they will do this today as well, since it’s Valentine’s Day, and that this time someone will record the whole thing. Tokyo Sunrise & Tightrope are again in the new set-list. That one is a bit shorther than the first one from Santa Ana. Songs are: Dreamcatcher, When We’re High, Dreamer, When I’m Over You. Then medley of No Witness & cover of Sex on Fire.
Afterwards, Die For Your Love, Tightrope, One Night In The Sun, Girls Go Wild, Recovery. Another medley, House on Fire, Paint It Black with Other People, followed by Shaken, Special and for encore Lost On You. Since Tokyo Sunrise is not included in the setlist, I assume it’s also part of encore. This seems to match Canadian’s review of LP’s show, click here.
This time only few teeny-tiny quotes. @photonikplus: “This artist is really natural and really pretty. I love simplicity. My heart is fully charged. Thank you LP.” @thenursingteacher: “Amazing show in Quebec City tonight! A true artist with a magnificent voice. LP.” @rosiecm: “This wonderful day is finally here! After this remarkable and amazing show… You are doubly my favorite singer. Congratulations also to Lauren.”
On the next day LP met with her fans for a ‘Q & A’ over on Twitter, she answered some of the questions. Few in video messages and few in writing. My favourite answer was the one decribing what inspired “One Night in The Sun”. Turns out: “It was inspired by a shitty vacation with a lover. One of those times when you know shit is over and it’s the last couple of times the two of you are gonna fuck… I mean… be together 😬🤠🤟.”
And a tiny trivia about song titled “Power” – LP: “That song is kinda about me getting thru all the difficulties of the music biz and my romantic relationships and how they tie in and all the sacrifices I’ve made for both.” Full Q & A can be found on LP’s Twitter, click here. Also yesterday LP took part in recording of ‘Tout le monde en parle’ programme. Emission this Sunday. I will post link once LP’s part will be online.
Tonight LP plays another sold out show at Mtelus. If you’re going, have fun! Also, do catch an opening act, and if possible, please record “Sheet Stains’!! Today is also 2nd anniversary since I’ve started this blog. It all started a bit sooner, but blog went online on the 14th February 2017. Time certainly flies and so many amazing memories. Hopefully a lot more to come. Thank you for reading & support!
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
