After a whirlwind promo tour at the beginning of October, LP was back in Europe for a one-time show in Basel, Switzerland for Baloise Sessions’ night in theme: Indie Chartbreakers. Since it was her last European show for now, and we will have to wait for her comeback for at least next 5 months, many of her fans wanted to be there, just to catch a glimpse of LP that one last time, before she will return to the States. That’s why LP saw many familiar faces in the crowd. I wasn’t able to go to Basel due to many factors, but I was happy to see so many of my LP-friends waving LP off in a style.
One of those friends was Magali, who – as always – prepared for us, few words about the gig. “LP was first to perform. [Walking on Cars band was after LP]. It was a seated concert, but we were allowed to get near the stage at the end of the 3rd song. The setlist was similar to the one used during this Summer Tour. As you wrote it before, there was a new guitarist playing with the band. During the concert, LP came to the audience ( I think 3 times) to be near everyone. And it was so nice of her to try to be so close with the whole of her audience, and not just the front rows.”
“Many LPeople were there last night, and lpitaliaofficial created an LPeople flag that many of us signed, without difference in nationality (Swiss, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Romanian, Polish, Czech, English, etc…). LP Italia offered it to LP after the concert. This concert is supposed to be the last one for LP in Europe this year, that’s why many of us wanted to be there that evening. In fact, last night, I had a feeling that we were all like fireflies attracted by the aura of LP, travelling from many places in Europe, just to see her at that concert.”
“I only spent few hours in Basel, unfortunately not enough time to share with all my friends who were also there (like Magdalena, Lenka, Simona and Marion). I was there with 2 very good friends of mine: @lprock7 and @iamlp.barcelona, we already shared several concerts together in several other countries and it’s always so nice to have fun (and beers) with them both. After the concert we were also very happy to see that our gifts were with LP as she published those in her instagram stories (I even recognized the photo books I gave to LP ).”

“In a pub, we drank to celebrate that and also the amazing year of following LP, and we had a good time, as you probably saw on the instagram of the Italian fans. Basel was also great for few of us to meet & prepare our travel plans for the US tour. I would also like to add that we are all very excited for LP’s new album, and we can’t wait to discover it.” As always, thank you Magali for your time, words, kindess and pictures!! And here are few more quotes. Anna (@w_annabee): “LP – What a goodess of vocals – check her out live for yourself, wishing i was born with a voice like hers.”
Karolina (@karolina_radova): “Switzerland show was unbelievable! LP is such a cool & badass woman. I’ve enjoyed literally every second, from the moment she held my hand during Tightrope until i was dancing with Lauren during Free to Love ♥️ ” Karolina also added: “what is better than dancing next to your fav singer during enjoying the other one on the stage? @laurenruthward thank you ♥️ you told me “see you soon” and I hope for your european tour asap!!♥️🦂 Andreea (@andreeaeandrei13): This is the 3rd year in a row when I catch one of LP’s concerts. She is absolutely fantastic!”
One lucky LP fan ended up in possesion of her harmonica (just like myself in Glasgow, ah memories), @giusy74lp: “My beloved LP ❤ I don’t know if you will ever remember about a girl to whom you made one of the most beautiful gifts you can imagine… I’m not just referring to this harmonica that is a wonderful thing, but even more the emotion that I have felt when, a moment before giving it to me, you played it looking me in the eyes … you can never imagine the emotion, the happiness you gave me ❤❤ one of the moments that I’ll never forget!”
Ruxa (@rrruxa): Every gig has its own vibe and beauty. Here are some photographic memories of what I could never put into words. @iamlpofficial, as usual, thank you! You give us such great moments that we could never reward you enough for. Miss you till the next one 🧡.” To learn more about LP Italia’s flag project, click here. Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
