While LP is making her journey from Italy to Belarus, we are moving from Merano to Turin (Torino) in Italy. My faithful reporters were there as well, and I am very thankful for their coverage. Let’s start again with @moongris8: “Last summer, on another memorable night, LP was also in Turin in nearby Gru Village (guess if we were there too?), but this time the concert venue was so beautiful that it took your breath away. The concert took place at ‘Stupinigi Hunting Lodge’ – imagine a historical hunting royal castle with a wonderful park outside. A monumental jewel: this place is huge, luxurious, baroque.”
And a little more trivia, this concert was part of Stupinigi Sonic Park Festival, that took place at the hunting residence of Stupinigi (Italian: The Palazzina di caccia of Stupinigi), which is one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy in northern Italy, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. I think that’s enough trivia 🙂 Back to LP: “She sang in a nice garden outside of the palace. But this time, there was much longer wait outside the gates, since early morning hours. We were…, we didn’t look best: crumpled clothes, messy hair, sleepy eyes but with our usual stupid smile :)”
“Also, this time the concert was wildly beautiful. First row, and once again, the dream became reality. This time I appreciated all the musicians more (guys – you are pure energy and kindness), I have to stress that, before I will move my gaze again to LP… During the concert, for less than a couple of hours I was dispersing thousands of atoms and absorbing as many atoms of vital purity. A cosmic shower. Please, let’s do that again sometime… The most exciting moment for me was, when LP sang ‘Dreamer’, the notes and the lyrics are still flowing in my blood… “.
“When her concert ends, I always feel like an astronaut coming back to earth: excited and wonderfully destroyed. It’s like coming from a universe of extraterrestrial lights and sounds. This event concluded the Italian June dates (but this summer she’ll be in Italy again – and we’ll be there as well). During those three indescribable evenings, she has recharged my inner batteries. Because her music is the defibrillator to my sick heart and the placebo to my good health. The reason to escape from my life and the reason to stay in it and to be even stronger, more motivated and free. The strength to say yes, the courage to say no, the honesty to recognize a mistake, and the shamelessness of being what I am.”
And now, few words from @fr_colors: “Yes, I’m a little tired from these past crazy days, but LP has “taken me home” safely. After the last concert, in Torino-Stupinigi (wow, what a beautiful venue too!), I’m more and more amazed, how is that possible: driving for about 1700 km and more, to hear again and again “the same” concert. But am I really? Am I? Really? I guess we all know the answer to that… We’ve waited since early morning hours till the concert began, under the heat of the sun (the staff of Stupinigi Palace were very kind to all the people, and allowed us to wait in the shadow and gave us some free drinks)”.
Everything went great until some crazy and impolite people have decided to take place in front of the line without looking at those who were there from the start. So the Security staff (somehow they were kind with people too!, despite a little misunderstanding at beginning), put all the people neatly in the queue, under a hot sun. Then the gates opened and we all just went to the front of the stage. The set list was the same as at the past two concerts, but it was a very ‘hot’ gig – I think LP was inspired by the incredible stage and a really great response from the crowd. All the fatigue disappeared and we were thrown into a moment of pure ecstasy!”
“The band was great, she was great. What? Has the show already finished?! Damn! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6….how many days before the next?? OK LP, your voice bewitched me. See you at the next Italian concerts in few weeks.” PS I want to also give a shout out to Magali, who was there as well and it was her 10th country since she started following LP and her music! How amazing is that??! Today is free from the show day, LP is already in Minsk, Belarus, where she will be performing tomorrow at the 21st Century Festival.
