Last night LP played another make-up show, this time at the Roseland Theater in Portland. Slugs and Lauren Ruth Ward were the opening artists. During “Sheet Stains” from Lauren’s ‘Well, Hell’ record, LP joined in to help with the backing vocals (for video scroll down). Watching them together is always a wonderful experience. I hope that one day, LP & Lauren will record some proper duet. And now the quotes.
@k9s_and_cannabis: ‘“The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers.” – Roy Ayers. Last night were some incredible performances by my friends, LP, LRW, Ed Rivers and Slugs. Hands down some of the best artists, who’s perseverance is absolutely admirable. Please go open your iTunes, show your support and download their music. You won’t be disappointed.”

@mmackenzie18: “Wow… it’s been over a year since I have been to a concert, and if you know me at all, that’s an insanely long time! Tonight was a hard night but it was also INCREDIBLE! By the time LP went on stage, my feet and legs were killing me, but the second the music started, I forgot all about that. The pain went away and I forgot all about the real life that I live.”
“I have put my life on hold to deal with my sickness and I’m so tired of doing that. I loved feeling free and like myself again. Music is something that makes me so happy and I have missed shows so much! Thank you to my amazing sister for letting me tag along to see her favorite artist! It was a night I will never forget! I’m determined to get my life back and this is just the beginning!”

Not only did the openers call me over after the show tell me I was their favorite audience member, but LP winked at me then tossed me her harmonica during her encore.”
And one from The Wiltern show by @hey_junior: “Usually, I like to keep my captions short, witty, and simple, this is not the case today. Seeing your favorite artist, in my case LP can be a truly transcending experience. Her voice is so much better in person than in any recording. Please do yourselves a favor and check her out.”
Tonight LP plays her final show of her US tour. Then Mexico and festival, and LP will travel to Russia for another tour!

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
