Earlier today via social media LP shared photos she did with Shervin Lainez (music photographer who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York). Those photos were used in several articles, however in low resolution, now you can enjoy them in full quality.
One of those photos was used in the recent GQ interview with LP, and if you haven’t read it yet, make sure to catch up asap, as it’s a great read. Refreshing take on questions, and LP is as always candid, open and honest. For interview click here.
One of the questions sent a fellow LP-friend and myself for a hunt for a jingle LP once did for JCPenney.
So, if LP’s deal was in 2001, and a couple of years later (couple as in 2) LP did a jingle, then the year must have been 2003. In another interview (from 2012) we learnt that the jingle was for Christmas ad. After SF Examiner: “Aside from vocal work on a JC Penney Christmas commercial, she [LP] happily stayed in the shadows.”
Then you – my readers helped and sent me YouTube links, and there it was, LP’s jingle recorded in 2003. I know some of you have reservations, but I’m 100% sure it’s LP (only the singing voice). They used some kind of filters on LP’s voice at the very end, but the beginning is pure LP. I would recognize her voice in my sleep.
And finally I wanted to thank for 15.000 followers on Instagram and 100.000 on Facebook. Honestly I have no idea how I reached that number (I was “just” at 10.000 in July 2019). But it feels like an accomplishment and I’m glad that my blog is reaching more and more LP-fans. After all, that’s why I’ve started it in a first place.
I know, I promised some cheesy/celebratory photos and hopefully I will fulfil my promise over this weekend. Stay safe and healthy, wear a mask, keep social distance (as often as possible), so this nightmare will finally be over and so we could see each other in a concert this year. It’s been way too long! Oh, and a Happy, belated, New Year!
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
