Since LP came home, after a really busy European period, she could finally find time for other activities other than constant touring. On the 29th September LP supported her fiancée, Lauren Ruth Ward, during her ‘Well, Hell’ release party. Lauren released her debut full length album at different venues on 3 nights in a row – first at Cashbah San Diego, then Bootleg Theatre with final event taking place at Constellation Room.
LP joined Lauren at Bootleg Theatre, not only backstage but also at stage, as they both performed song ‘Sheet Stains’ during the release show. As a trivia, at Lauren’s album this song also ft. LP’s backing vocals. You can view video of this performance at my YouTube channel. Click here. I also recommend getting your hands on Lauren’s album, she has a lot of talent and you will find some great tracks, my favourite at the moment is ‘Those Letters’.
On the next day, LP and her long-time friends Nate Campany and Mike Del Rio went to Joshua Tree to work on the material for LP’s next record. Pretty sure this amazing and secluded place has given LP and her friends enough inspiration… Joshua Tree is a U.S. National Park; it had also been a U.S. National Monument since 1936. It is named for the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia) native to the park. A large part of the park is a designated wilderness area. Would really love to visit this place.
During that time the trio also went to see The Integratron, an unusual structure designed by Ufologist and Contactee George Van Tassel. Tassel claimed the Integratron was capable of rejuvenation, anti-gravity and time travel. He built the structure in Landers (near Joshua Tree), supposedly following instructions provided by visitors from the planet Venus. The Integratron machine was started in 1957, the structure erected in 1959. It was financed predominantly by donations, including funds from Howard Hughes.
After her return from Joshua Tree, where LP has spend a couple of days, she was seen at Third Encore Studios in LA, where she has joined her band for a rehearsal, as really soon they are hitting the road again. First they will take part in Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival at Carpinteria, then few more shows in the USA. There was also a rehearsal, as it appears JD (at least for now) is not with the band, and there was a new guitarist, John Notto. I guess we shall learn more in few days. Pic of LP in a studio – here.
Finally, LP released another video that was filmed at The McKittrick Hotel – Home of Sleep No More, during LP’s ‘Lost On You’ release party on the 3rd of May 2017. To view this exclusive video (to Lost On You), go to this link and unlock it by sharing it to FB or Twitter. That’s all for now. I hope I didn’t miss any other news.
Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
