On 13th July LP was already back in Switzerland, she bidded goodbye to her love, who came home to LA from Greece. Since Thursday was free-from-the-show day, LP and the band (with rascal Josiah) took opportunity to do a little bit of sighseeing. The city of Bern – as that’s where they stayed – is the de facto capital of Switzerland, referred to by the Swiss as their “federal city”. Since my aunt lives there, I had the opportunity to visit this city one time about 9 years ago. And it is stunning.
It has a gorgeous historic old town that dates back to medieval times. The Bern’s city centre is a Cultural World Heritage Site. Perhaps its most famous sight is the Zytglogge, medieval clock tower with moving puppets. It also has an impressive 15th century Gothic cathedral, the Münster, and a 15th-century town hall. Thanks to 4 miles of arcades, the old town boasts one of the longest covered shopping promenades in Europe. Also river Aare runs through the city, and this gives extra views.
But if you’d like to travel around Switzerland, better get a car, as trains are ridiculously expensive. Like crazy!! I went to Switzerland mostly because of my favourite actress, the great Audrey Hepburn, who resided for most of her life in Tolochenaz near Lausanne. Tolochenaz also became her resting place, and you can still see the house where she used to live, though it doesn’t belong to her family any more. But back to LP.
On July 14th, she took part in (I think) 34th edition of Gurten Festival, that first started in 1991. It is held annually in the middle of July on top of Bern’s local mountain, the Gurten. LP played on the 3rd day of the festival at ZELTBÜHNE stage (there were three stages). Her set started at 20.30 and lasted for about an hour. Prior to the show she was interviewed by Radio SRF3, and you will find this interview by clicking here. It is short but lovely interview in which you will see up close LP’s engagement ring. Lauren has chosen a perfect ring, it suits LP very much.
I haven’t found any quotes, and there are not many pics shared, but I found out, that during LP’s concert “there was a fan who desperately wanted a hug of LP – and she got one – the security lifted her to the stage – that’s what you see in the picture” posted above. Melo added: “LP how sweet was that!!! what a beautiful vibe – loved every second of the show!!!” Thank you Melo for this pic & for kind permission to use it on my blog! Make sure to check Melo‘s Instagram, as she was official photographer and posted few more of LP. Another gallery of pics can be found here.

Anna from Poland. I have been a blogger for a long time, but more in a royal field. Since 'meeting' LP through her music and as a person, a lot has changed. If I'm not working on my blog, I work as a teacher. I love to travel, read & dance. I sing & play uke when no one listens. Music was always a big part of my life.
